CAD – A Revolution for Engineering Drawings and Designs
CAD is the abbreviation of "Computer Aided Design". It is a structure of design in which people work with computer tools for creating models, drawings and other prototypes. CAD was first developed in 1970s with 2D in order to assist engineers, architects, and other design professionals in their technical drawings and drafting, but now it has expanded with numerous other potential uses with 3D designs and models. Designers from various fields such as Engineering, Architecture, Fashion, Textile and Graphics are highly dependent on CAD technologies. CAD is considered as a revolutionary design tool, which provides cost-effective solutions with quick time interval.

Mechanical engineering is the most functional disciple among all branches of engineering industry. It has a great role in the development of the man-machine relationship and the growth of industrial world. That’s why mechanical engineers always busy in planning, analysis, design, testing and implementation of mechanical components in order to fulfill the requirements of different projects within the assigned time interval. Now days with the invention of Computer Aided Design (CAD) softwares and designing tools has reduced the physical and mental effort and enhance the productivity with less time interval. It also enables easy digitally editable design options, which makes it more user-friendly and reliable.
